Common questions
What is a non-medical senior concierge?
A non-medical senior concierge helps older adults and their families with the practical side of daily life: scheduling appointments, coordinating household vendors, running errands, setting up technology, planning travel and moves, and keeping authorized family members informed. Poulin Family Concierge does not provide nursing, medical advice, medication administration, or hands-on personal care.
How is this different from home care?
Home care agencies provide hands-on personal care and scheduled caregiving. Poulin Family Concierge is for older adults who live independently and need reliable coordination rather than personal care. We do not provide bathing, dressing, lifting, transfers, medication administration, or other personal or medical care.
Who is Poulin Family Concierge for?
Independent older adults and the families who support them, including adult children who live out of town, couples who want help coordinating appointments and household needs, clients recovering from a procedure who need temporary non-medical logistical support, and families who are downsizing or exploring senior living.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Windermere, Dr. Phillips, Bay Hill, Winter Garden, and Horizon West in Southwest Orlando, Florida. Other Central Florida locations are considered case by case.
Can you go to medical appointments with my parent?
With the client's permission, we can schedule appointments, prepare questions, accompany the client, take non-clinical notes, and follow through on next steps. We do not give medical advice, interpret clinical information, or select treatment. Medical decisions remain with the client and their licensed healthcare professionals.
How do family members stay informed?
The client decides who receives updates and what they may hear about. We send updates to the family members the client authorizes, and the client can change those choices at any time.
Do you provide transportation?
We coordinate transportation to appointments, errands, and other outings. Any trip we drive ourselves is agreed on in advance in writing.
How does it start?
Every relationship begins with a complimentary 20-minute introductory call. If it feels like a good fit, we learn the client's routines, preferences, providers, household needs, and family communication wishes, and then create a personalized support plan.
What does a membership cost?
Membership levels, included time, onboarding requirements, and project pricing are reviewed during the introductory call. You can also request the current Membership Guide.
What happens in an emergency?
Poulin Family Concierge is not an emergency or monitoring service. In an emergency, call 911 or the appropriate emergency service.
